Google has released the first developer preview of Android 13. The next version of Android seems to offer changes, especially in terms of privacy, security and developer productivity. Users can enjoy a new system photo selection that allows them to share specific local or cloud photos more securely without having to grant permission to all media files on the device.
Android 13 will add permissions for nearby Wi-Fi devices to help find and connect to nearby Wi-Fi networks without disclosing the user's location information. Applications that do not need to know your current location can connect without needing GPS access.
In addition, Google will extend the Material You colour palette beyond its applications to all application icons. This will allow you to decide and let the system apply the colours it generates from your wallpaper to the icons. Users will also be able to set a different language for each application. Animations and effects improvements and feature updates within Google Play will also be improved.
If you can't wait for Android 13 to come, Google said it plans to release the first beta in about April this year. The stable version is planned for June to July, as it was in previous years.
